Obviously rescues who do not meet these guidelines will have reasonse, but it is up to you to ensure that your money or your horse go the the best possible place. If you cannot find one that meets these guidelines in your area, contact us and we will help you to find one.

• The Doris Day Animal League provides a practical guide for anyone operating, or interested in starting up, an equine rescue or retirement facility. If your considering supporting or donating to a rescue, you should download this guide and use it in evaluating the rescue that you're considering.
